These brokers are restricted to one supplier or mortgage product - Quite often being branch based and working for a high street lender.Their products will be relatively competitive otherwise they wouldn't survive, but it is usually a good idea to seek the advice of an independent mortgage broker to get the complete view of the market.

Multi Tied Mortgage Brokerages:
These brokers will only be able to offer advice and services from a panel of selected mortgage lenders.They can obviously give a more comprehensive view of the mortgage market than a tied mortgage broker but are equally unable to source the best deal from the entire mortgage market like an Independent Mortgage Broker.

Independent Mortgage Brokerages:
These Brokers possess the ability to source a mortgage from the entire mortgage market, by analysing your current financial status and assessing your suitability to the various mortgage deals.
